Looks like director Krish’s penchant to shoot his films in Georgia continues, as his under-shoot project ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’, starring Balakrishna, is likely to be shot in the beautiful locales of the Peach State. Apparently, Krish felt that Georgia would be the ideal setting for filming the war episodes (after Morocco) of the historical drama.

Due to the availability of vast vacant land in Georgia, familiarity with the locations and crew members, the director, it is understood, has decided to move there to film epic war sequences. Another reason is the rainfall. Since the meteorological department predicted high rainfall (rainfall in Georgia is low) in Hyderabad this monsoon, Krish is apprehensive that it might disrupt the shooting schedules.

“Since Krish wants the film to release for Sankranti, he doesn’t want to take any chances,” says a source. “The discussions about shooting the sequences in Georgia are currently underway. Since this is a sudden development, the unit is working on the schedule and the availability of support staff.

The creative team loved the beautiful yet untapped locations there and a concrete decision would be taken soon,” adds the source. The battle sequences of Krish’s earlier film ‘Kanche’ was shot in Georgia. Also, a major portion of his another project (with Varun Tej), which was shelved, was also planned to be filmed there.
