Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has come out in support of Salman Khan and said his "intentions" were not wrong, after the superstar's rape anology created a row. When the actor was asked for a comment on Bhai's "raped woman" remark, Nawazuddin told reporters in Mumbai, "He used it metaphorically. The discussion is over now, so no use of repeating it and asking questions again."

“According to me, intentions matter and I don't think his intention was like that," the actor added. Actress Kangana Ranaut has termed Salman's comments as "horrible" and "extremely insensitive" and advised people to avoid trolling and running one person down. Salman is yet to clarify but his father, writer Salim Khan, has apologised on Twitter on behalf of their whole family.
