When they narrated the script to me, I liked the beauty of the character. It is an intriguing role and it’s about a girl who is completely disconnected from the world. The role offers so much to play as an actor and that\'s what excited me.
Why did you choose ‘Shakti…’ as your comeback vehicle after two years?

Why do you pick timid roles?
I am a modern woman in my personal life. But I am an actress, and I love challenges. I experiment with roles to showcase my acting skills.
Grapevine says that you are playing a eunuch in the show? Is it true?
Absolutely not true! This isn't the case so far. Yes, I did hear about such speculations. I haven’t been briefed about the transgender part in the show. I have nothing to say about that as of now.
Don’t you think Saumya’s character is a replica of Radhika from ‘Choti Bahu’?
No, not at all! Radhika from ‘Choti Bahu’ and Saumya from ‘Shakti…’ are poles apart. It is too early to decide about her as the show has started a month ago and the leap happened just a week before, so at this point, we can’t say that both the roles are similar.
People will know that both the characters are not similar as the story progresses.
The serial has already gained popularity, do you feel it will reach heights of ‘Choti Bahu?
All I know is I am putting in my best.
Will you do a web series?
The internet is the future of India. Nowadays web series’ are really doing well. And I’m open up to any medium as an actress, whether it is the silver screen, small screen or web series.
