Sonia turns singer 

Sonia Deepti is someone who always look to be versatile. Apart from juggling among various roles viz acting, painting and adventurous sports, the ‘Happy Days’ actress has just added another feature in her cap. This time she is set to win the hearts by turning singer for her forthcoming film 'Chinni Chinni Aasa Nalo Regene', directed by Santosh Nelenti.

“I had the idea to try singing since a long time but was apprehensive how it might turn out (smiles). I was humming the hook line on the sets and was taken aback when my director asked her to come into the studio and sing for the film’s promotional song. Also, since it is an energetic number my husky vocals can be the surprise element. It’s an energetic, mass beat and also has a mix of rap,” Sonia reveals.

Ask her how the experience recording for the number, she replies, “It’s so cool! I gave my best shot and was surprised to see the way it has turned out. All credit goes to my composer Shakeel. He instilled the confidence in me and I’m thrilled with the output. My friends were taken by surprise when they heard my tone but I would love to sing again if the opportunity comes.”
