Manchu Manoj condemns attack on producer

The shooting of the film has been going on from last 15 days, at a set erected near Muthyalammapalem near Parawada. Reportedly, few junior artistes barged into the producer’s guest house on July 26 assaulted him over non payment on wages.
They also forced Atchi Babu to sign on blank cheques and promissory notes for their dues. The junior artistes’ association of Vizag is not affiliated to Film Federation of Hyderabad, an apex body that monitors the issues of junior artistes.
Speaking to mediapersons, Manoj said the junior artistes have formed into a syndicate and are bullying producers. “Around 30 junior artistes barged into the guest house of the producer and abused him.
We have asked the Vizag police commissioner to look into the matter. We would also discuss the issue with the prominent personalities of the film industry as well as the film associations after reaching Hyderabad,” he said.
A case has also been registered at Paravada police station. Meanwhile, a representative of junior artistes K Ramu said the producer paid only Rs 5 lakh and has been dodging for remaining balance of Rs 4 lakh. “If they wrap up the shoot, we would be left high and dry,” he added.
