Sonam open to doing Russian, Chinese, French films 

Atress Sonam Kapoor says that language should not curb any actor's enthusiasm and that she is open to doing Russian, Chinese or French films if the script and her character are good.

At a special screening of the Punjabi film ‘Chauthi Koot’ in Mumbai recently, Sonam, asked if she would do a Punjabi film, said, "I don't know the language; I do understand it. I understand Sindhi and Hindi more, but why not? I don't think, as an actor, a language should curb your enthusiasm.

"If I like the story and if it is Punjabi, Chinese, Hindi, Marathi, Russian, French or any language, I will do it if I like the character." While Sonam's contemporaries like Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are currently doing films in the English-language Hollywood, films in Russian or Chinese or French have not been tried often by Indian actors.

The only one in recent times that can be considered are Sonu Sood and Amyra Dastur working with superstar Jackie Chan in the English-Hindi-Mandarin film ‘Kung Fu Yoga.’
