She might be just one film (‘Marala Telupana Priya’) old but Vyoma Nandi feels that it’s a bonus to debut in a female-centric film. Giving a sneak peak of her background, the Gujarat-born and Canada raised actress reveals, “I’ve been inclined towards arts since childhood. I participated in plays in school. Moreover, my dad is a music teacher in Canada and he often performs at shows. My close relatives are also into Hindi soap operas. After studies, I underwent formal training in acting in Mumbai. I did a few commercials and eventually bagged a Tollywood project.”

Vyoma is glad that the role in her debut film was well received. “I was given lengthy dialogues (in Telugu) during audition and I wasn’t confident. Later as I travelled with the unit and director Vani Kosaraju, I got better with language. I realised acting is an emotional thing and I’m grateful that people have appreciated my performance. I just want to be a pretty face running around the trees but I want to exhibit and prove my acting prowess. I’m pleased that I got the opportunity in just my debut film itself.”
