Speaking to Talkies, she says she couldn’t have asked for more. “I waited to pick up a nice role and part in ‘Nakshatram’ is one such,” she declares.Smiling, she adds, “I was told about the role on Tuesday and I signed on the dotted line on Wednesday. I’d be shooting for it from Thursday.”

After Kanche Pragya Jaiswal had to wait for six months to sign her next, for her criteria was a ‘nice script.’ But the wait seems to have paid off as the lissome actress is on a signing spree of late.Close on the heels of giving her consent to star in Manchu Manoj’s next with ‘Naa Rakumarudu’ director Satya, the actress has now been roped in for Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Nakshatram.

The actress will be playing a cop in the actioner and is required to kick some butt. In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Krishna Vamsi said he can't wait to execute two fight sequences specially designed for Pragya. So, would she be required to prep up for the part? “Since my first day starts tomorrow itself, I had no time to prepare. I’d be better prepared for the second schedule,” promises Pragya, who has a black belt in Karate. “It’s a proper role. It’s like a special appearance but a little long.”

Ask her how does she feel about being a Krishna Vamsi heroine and she says he is a respectable and almost legendary like director in the industry. The role has a lot of glamour too and is completely different from what I’ve played in ‘Kanche.’ I’m looking forward to the shoot,” Pragya, who is cast opposite Sai Dharam Tej in the film, concludes.
