Bangalore: Neha Dhupia who has been a part of a lot of off-beat cinema is seeming to choose roles much more carefully these days. Winner of the Femina Miss India title (2002), Neha is known for her bold roles like that of Julie a call girl which according to the actress helped her explore her darker side. However, when approached by &TV for a character led role in their show Waaris, the actress flatly refused. Rather developed ‘cold feet’ as per sources. The character that she was approached for was that of a brothel owner, popularly known as ‘Madam’. It’s a character that will turn tables and establish a strong point in the show. Also, there were a few dance numbers involved considering ‘Madam’ is approached by a rich client for a private party.

Since Neha has already done roles of such caliber, the makers were hoping for a go-ahead from her end. But turns out that the actress is tied up with prior commitments and more than that, she wasn’t too keen to play a call girl. However, Sambhavana Seth has come to the rescue of the makers gladly giving a nod to the role. It's only a matter of a couple of days before Sambhavana dazzles the audience with her flamboyant performance on-screen.

Don’t forget to tune into Waaris from Monday to Friday at 10:00pm only on &TV
