NTR Vakkantham Vamsi film shelved!

While NTR is favouring Puri Jagannadh, Vakkantham Vamsi recently narrated a script to Allu Arjun

Seems like star writer Vakkantham Vamsi’s wish of making his long-in-the-waiting directorial debut with NTR has hit a roadblock! We hear that the actor has asked the writer to hang on for some more time as he was not impressed with his script.

A source says, “The project was to be launched last month itself but as NTR was not completely convinced with the script, the muhurat was called off. Even after Vakkantham made some changes to the script, NTR wasn’t fully happy. Since the actor knows Vamsi well, he didn’t decline the script outright but rather asked him to wait.”

However, Vamsi, according to the source, has realised that the project has no future as of now and immediately shifted focus to win other heroes hearts with his script. “He was spotted meeting Allu Arjun a couple of times in the recent past. He shared an idea with the actor and the latter took a liking to it. It remains to be seen whether it is the same one that he narrated to NTR,” adds the source.

Meanwhile, NTR is keen on collaborating with Puri Jagannadh again. “The actor endorsed Puri’s line six months ago and it, most likely, will be his next. It might go on to floors once the actor returns from the vacay that he is planning with his wife Pranathi and kid Abhay.”
