Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron will be partnering with production banner Participant Media on a new untitled film that chronicles a year in the life of a middle-class family in Mexico City in the early 1970s.

The drama marks Cuaron's follow-up to his Oscar-winning film ‘Gravity’.According to several sources, Cuaron had always intended to make a smaller-scale movie following ‘Gravity’.
