De Niro is an inspiration to Vikram
Tamil actor Vikram is happy that ‘Inkokkadu,’ his latest release, is doing well in both the Telugu-speaking states. He shared his joy with the media at a promotional event of the film in Hyderabad recently.
Tamil actor Vikram is happy that ‘Inkokkadu,’ his latest release, is doing well in both the Telugu-speaking states. He shared his joy with the media at a promotional event of the film in Hyderabad recently. “Getting love and appreciation from people is any actor’s dream and thanks to ‘Inkokkadu’, I’m getting all this. Also, your joy gets doubled when you get some good characters to play,” he said, pointing out to the dual characters – a secret agent and an eccentric scientist– he played in the thriller.
He added that he always looked up to Hollywood legends Robert De Niro and Merly Streep as far his work goes. “De Niro is a soft person but he played negative characters, like numerous other roles, with equal élan. Since childhood I wanted to do roles like him,” he revealed, adding that he has grown up watching Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth’s films. “I used to like Kamal sir’s acting. The current lot too is doing good work and is inspiring me in one or the other way.”
