Comic Film-Maker Sajid Khan’s Love For Thrillers
After some phenomenal films showcased in the Book Adaptation Festival, Star Movies Select HD is now entertaining us with an American- German action thriller THE BOURNE IDENTITY. It is an adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s novel of the same name. This is the first in the Bourne film series where Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), suffering from memory loss tries to discover himself over a covert conspiracy
After some phenomenal films showcased in the Book Adaptation Festival, Star Movies Select HD is now entertaining us with an American- German action thriller THE BOURNE IDENTITY. It is an adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s novel of the same name. This is the first in the Bourne film series where Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), suffering from memory loss tries to discover himself over a covert conspiracy with the CIA.
Jason Bourne is rescued by an Italian fisherman from the Mediterranean Sea with two gunshot wounds in his back. He wakes up with no memory of his own identity but capable of speaking several languages and has advanced combat skills. He found a tiny laser projector under his hip which has a safety deposit box number in Zurich. This is where his journey begins.
The film also features Franka Potente, Chris Cooper,Clive Owen, Julia Stiles, Brian Cox and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
On a film that gives a shiver through your spine while with its action, story line and intensity, the Ace Indian Filmmaker Sajid Khan said, “But definitely 'Thank you for Smoking', 'The Bourne Identity', 'Dr Strangelove or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the Bomb' & lastly 'The French Connection' are few of my favourite adapted movies. It's very hard to pick just one. These are not just great reads, these books converted into great films too.”
