After becoming Miss India (2015), Aditi Arya’s next big assignment would be her debut project in Tollywood, ‘ISM.’ The Delhi-based model is playing Kalyanram’s love interest in action drama directed by Puri Jagannadh.

“I know how big the industry (Tollywood) is as I did watch a few Telugu films before. So when I got the opportunity to work, I said yes pronto,” Aditi informs, adding, “I loved my role and the script in ‘ISM’. My character is a brat with a beautiful heart and a strong will. She has a very commanding and magnetic personality and is independent at the same time.”

Although Aditi is not new to camera, she feels films are a different proposition. “I was excited on the first day of the shoot. The entire atmosphere is different and new to me. But I feel there’s a lot more to do in films. Preparing for the character, attaining command over the dialogues, etc, are not associated with modelling. And Kalyanram was a cool co-star to work with,” she gushes.

Considering that she’s new to the language, ask her how did she prepare for the project and she says she practiced her dialogues a lot. “I took training in diction classes and kept repeating the dialogues to myself till I got them fluently. The unit members too helped me. Moreover, since the entire unit spoke in Telugu, it was easy,” she smiles.

The actress is in awe of the working style of Puri Jagannadh. “He has launched several new faces in Tollywood and I’m lucky to work with him in my debut itself. He is very knowledgeable and knows what exactly he wants. I picked up several things by merely observing him,” Aditi describes.
