Amyra Dastur is making her Telugu debut in Raj Tarun’s upcoming film directed by Sanjana Reddy. The Mumbai actress who has been shooting for the comic caper says that language has never been a barrier for her.

“When I made my Tamil debut with ‘Anegan’, the preparation really helped me overcome the language hurdle. I’m following the same for Telugu debut too. Also, since the entire unit speaks in Telugu, it’s a bit easy for me to pick up. The experience of shooting for a Telugu film is really worth treasuring and I have learnt so much,” Amyra explains.

Talking about her role, the ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ actress tells, “I play a modern Indian girl who is the daughter of a renowned police officer. She's feisty and bubbly at the same time, and will be seen wearing a lot of kurtas. The movie is a comedy of errors that revolves around the hero being a kleptomaniac.

The hero and heroine find themselves in extremely weird situations which will trigger laughter amongst the audience. Also, the fact that I am quite a funny person in real life helped to easily get into the character.” Earlier, Amyra was supposed to debut in a Puri Jagannadh directorial but she had to let go the offer due to her International project.
