Aisha’s tryst with a single 

Much before her Bollywood debut, Aisha Sharma has created a splash by featuring opposite Ayushmann Khurana in a musical Punjabi romantic single ‘Ik Vaari’, directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, the track was shot in breathtaking locations of Georgia.

“Ayushmann’s ex-manager (who now works with my agency) saw my Instagram pics. They felt that I was funky and approached me for the music video. Since it is a first-of-its-kind for me, I was excited with the opportunity.

We did not have much time to shoot and it was chaotic. Since people speak in Russia, we did encounter difficulties with the language. We did not have a translator but we coped up with it and managed to shoot the number at iconic locations in two and half days. It was a new and wonderful experience,” Aisha describes.

Her mobile has been ringing incessantly with congratulatory messages ever since the video was released. The actress says, “The response has been amazing. I guess the T-Series has brought back the trend of singles in Bollywood and I’m glad to be part of that. Also, Ayushmann himself is a good singer and he co-wrote the song along his brother Aparshakti whereas Pradeep too shot it aesthetically.”

On recreating 'Aashiqui' moment from the number 'Tu Meri Zindagi Hai', Aisha clarifies, “There’s nothing like that, I was wearing a body suit and so it was supposed to be a backless shot, rest is all camera’s trick”.
