Having made his intentions of doing more films clear after he wraps up ‘Khaidi No 150’, megastar Chiranjeevi is attracting a lot of producers who made windfalls with him when he was at his prime. Aswini Dutt, who made films like ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’, ‘Choodalani Vundhi’, ‘Indra’ and ‘Jai Chiranjeeva’ with the actor, is one such name who is in reckoning to fund Chiru’s next.

Recently, gossip mills went into overdrive claiming that Dutt, who believes in setting the right combinations first, has god Trivikram’s nod for his film with Chiru. However, our sources indicate that the project with Dutt is very much on but Chiru will decide on who will helm it after the story gets finalised.

A source close to the development confirms, “Dutt wanted to produce Chiru’s 150th and even lined up a bevy of directors but Chiru went ahead with his home production. Chiru will do a film with Dutt, who he considers as family, but it’ll only happen after he wraps up his 151st film with brother-in-law Allu Aravind. Boyapati Sreenu is likely to direct it and he’s working on the script as we speak now.

Chiru loved the director’s ‘Sarrainodu’ and given his understanding of the mass pulse, felt he would be his best bet after ‘Khaidi No 150’, before asking him to come up with a tailor-made script for him.” The source adds, “As far as Dutt roping in Trivikram goes, it’s pretty early as the director is committed to do films with Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu up next, so the combination should fall in place, right? Nonetheless, the wizard of words would not think twice to direct Chiru as he is a big admirer of the actor.”
