Actor Arjun Rampal has said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation move will benefit the country in the long run but admitted that the timing of his latest release 'Rock On 2' has turned out to be unfortunate.

'Rock On 2' released on November 11, and Modi had announced scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to curb circulation of black money on November 8. The ensuing cash crunch among the audience, directly impacted the box office figures for the movie, which would have otherwise registered promising footfall.

"When the entire country does not have enough earning, how will 'Rock On 2' do business? People don’t have enough money in their hand. It is an unfortunate timing for us and for any other film. Rock On 2 is a good film. I would still request those who have money to please watch the film," he said The 43-year-old actor will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s 'Kahaani 2' along with Vidya Balan.
