Bollywood will have it's story of the world's largest landlocked country soon enough Aksha Pardasany is on cloud nine. Reason? Her under-shoot project ‘Love You Family’ (directed by Sachindra Sharma) is apparently the first Indian film to be shot in Kazakhstan. The Mumbai model couldn’t stop raving about her shooting experience.

“Salman Yousuf Khan (‘ABCD’ fame) and I shot for a week in the picturesque locales in Almaty (the capital city). The people were very warm and helped us in obtaining permissions for shooting too. They even watch our Hindi films and dance to the Bollywood tunes. They’re crazy about Raj Kapoor, and Mithun Chakraborthy,” Aksha confides.

Her experience was breathtaking when she shot in Zailiyskiy Alatau in the mountains. “We took a cable car from Almaty and traveled for 20 minutes to the foothills of Zailiyskiy. If you go further, you have a manmade Jacuzzi in the middle of the mountain and it was fantastic. We shot a few scenes and a song there; it was so beautiful and all unexplored,” the actress reveals.

Tipping the shooting experience as memorable, the ‘Kandireega’ star says, “I feel fortunate and lucky to be part of a film that was the first to be shot in Kazakhstan. The Indian audience will get to see the Kazakh first time on screen. It was director’s thought to shoot there. He went on a reece and found the locations to be scenic.”

The actress also indulged in some exotic local cuisines. “There were a lot Turkish restaurants as the population is dominated by them. I indulged in Baklava, a popular Turkish sweet pastry, Kazakh noodles, Gutap (deep-fried herb fritters), etc.”
