Anushka turns IAS officer for ‘Bhagamati’

Anushka Shetty continues to stamp her authority with women-centric films. After ‘Rudhramadevi’, the actress is gearing up to impress cinegoers with another substantial role – that of an IAS officer – in G Ashok’s ‘Bhagamati’.

“Anushka plays a bureaucrat who knows how to get the best of any situation. She worked hard to get the detailing right for the part – from body language to walking style to expressions. She felt such things will add value to the visuals and be noteworthy. It’s a role she loved it and did not mind waiting nearly three years to bring life to it,” informs a source close to the actress.

A joint venture between Pramod and Vamsi under UV Creations, the film also stars Unni Mukundan and Vidyullekha Raman in key roles.
