In what was a rare sight, megastar Chiranjeevi went behind the camera to direct VV Vinayak for ‘Khaidi No 150’ as the film’s shooting came to an end on Tuesday! Surprised? VV Vinayak is playing a cameo in the film and as such the director’s chair was lying vacant, Chiru decided to fill it.
A source says, “It’s a scene where VV Vinayak who is deprived of water gatecrashes an apartment and procures water from a swimming pool, much to the dismay of the flat’s owner. It’s similar to what AR Murugadoss played in the original ‘Kaththi’. It’s just a one-dialogue scene. It was fun and once the shot was okayed by Chiru sir, the unit erupted in joy.”
Interestingly, Vinayak also played a cameo in ‘Tagore’, which incidentally was another remake of Murugadoss’ Tamil hit ‘Ramana’. ‘Khaidi No 150’, also featuring Kajal Aggarwal, Ali and Tarun Arora, is scheduled to release for Sankranti.
