Veteran Jayasudha has been a regular in many Dil Raju’s productions. She has now featured in the latter’s Sankranti release ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi,’ where she essays granny to the film’s lead Sharwanand. Speaking about her association with Raju, she said, “I’ve worked with many producers starting from Ramanaidu. Of the current lot, I see Raju as a producer with immense zeal.
Also, he churns out message-oriented films frequently keeping in mind our roots and traditions. The films that I’ve done for him fetched me good accolades. Like ‘Bommarillu,’ I’ll leave a lasting impression with ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi’ too,” she promised. She was speaking at the film’s soundtrack launch in Hyderabad over the weekend.
Dil Raju said, “When director Satish Vegesna bounced ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi’ idea, it got me all excited. I’ve felt it’s been long since someone dealt with the three generations of a family.
I wanted to make it with Sai Dharam Tej and Raj Tarun but as I couldn’t get their dates pronto and since I wanted to release it for Sankranti come what may, I’ve approached Sharwanand. He liked the idea and upon hearing the complete script, he jumped on board.” The family drama also features Anupama Parameswaran, Indraja and Prakash Raj.
