Los Angeles: "Star Wars" actress Carrie Fisher has been moved to an intensive care unit at a hospital, here after suffering a heart attack aboard a flight on Friday.

Los Angeles: Fisher, 60, best known for portraying 'Princess Leia' in the science-fiction saga, suffered an apparent heart attack while on a flight from London to Los Angeles, reported Entertainment Tonight.

"She is in the intensive care unit, she is being well looked after," Fisher's brother Todd said.

"If everyone could just pray for her that would be good. The doctors are doing their thing and we don't want to bug them. We are waiting by patiently." Todd also revealed that Fisher's condition is still unknown.

"We don't know. We hope for the best. We certainly do not know her condition, that's why she is in ICU. I'm sure everyone wants to speculate, but now is not the time for that."

According to several reports, Fisher suddenly went into a cardiac arrest just 15 minutes before the flight was scheduled to land.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said that the paramedics were waiting for the plane's arrival and "provided advanced life support and aggressively treated and transported the patient to a local hospital."

Actress Anna Akana took to Twitter to inform people that she was on Fisher's flight and saw her removed by EMT workers. "Don't know how else to process this but Carrie Fisher stopped breathing on the flight home. Hope she's gonna be OK,"

she wrote, in another post she said, "So many thanks to the United flight crew who jumped into action, and the awesome doctor and nurse passengers who helped."
