It was in August earlier this year that superstar Venkatesh announced that once he is through with Sudha Kongara’s ‘Saala Khadoos’ remake that he would shift attention to Kishore Tirumala’s ‘Adallu… Meeku Joharllu’. However, in a sudden turn of events it has emerged that ‘Adallu… Meeku Joharllu’ has been called off. Also, speculations were rife that the senior actor is in talks with directors Puri Jagannadh and Krish Jagarlamudi for his next endeavours now that he has wrapped up ‘Saala Khadoos’ remake.

When Talkies contacted Suresh Babu, Venky’s brother and chief of Suresh Productions, he said, “Kishore’s film is not called off. The script hasn’t shaped up to the expectations of both Venky and Kishore, so it has been put on hold for time being.” Suresh confirmed that Venky has endorsed the ideas narrated by Puri and Krish. While Krish’s is said to be a socio-fantasy entertainer, Puri’s is said to be an actioner, which will show the actor in a complete new avatar with emphasis on characterisation. Refusing to give much, Babu pointed out, “Both are different and special.”

Is it true that Puri’s would be the first to roll? “There’s no first or second as both of them could go on the floors at the same time.” Would he be associated with them? “Different producers would be bankrolling them but I’d be associated in some capacity.” On why he is maintaining utmost secrecy surrounding his project, a political drama, with elder son Rana, he quipped, “Everybody is more interested in ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ and ‘Ghazi,’ so I thought let those films hog all the limelight.” He added, “50 per cent of the shooting has been wrapped up and we would complete the film by March. It would release after ‘Baahubali 2’.”
