Tollywood was accidental: Nivetha

Actress Nivetha Pethuraj, who will commence shooting for her maiden Telugu film, ‘Mental Madhilo’ shortly, says she had never planned to enter the industry.

"My focus was on the two Tamil films I'm currently working on. It was never on my agenda to venture into Telugu industry.

However, when this project came my way, the story really caught my attention and I didn't want to miss the opportunity," Nivetha said.

Having made her acting debut last year with Tamil romantic-drama ‘Oru Naal Koothu,’ she is paired with Sri Vishnu in ‘Mental Madhilo’.

"It's a romantic-comedy, and I'm thrilled to be associated with a young team. When I spoke to the director, I could sense a lot of positivity. We start shooting from January 18," she said.

To be produced by Raj Kandukuri, the film will be directed by debutant Vivek Athreya.
