As fans are waiting in excitement to watch the history of the Satavahana king ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ unfold on the big screens this Sankranthi, Nandamuri Balakrishna is leaving no stone unturned to promote his upcoming landmark 100th film. Amidst much pomp and fanfare, the actor shares his experience of working for the historical drama.

“I need to be blessed to be able to play the 1st Century AD Satavahana ruler. I got the opportunity to play India’s first warrior emperor, and he being a Telugu guy, makes it really special. It is a surreal feeling. The visual opulence, action sequences, re-recording, and strong emotional depth in content will enthrall the audience,” shares Balakrishna.

The actor continues, “Director Krish had an arduous task, but he has done it with great authenticity. From elaborate sets to locations to character sketch and expensive jewelry to the three war sequences, Krish did a magnificent job to reflect the Satavahana period. It has been emotionally demanding and the entire unit has given their souls to it.”

Balayya adds that ‘GPSK’ never loses sight of its appeal. “With powerful dialogues and war scenes, it will be an engaging film. The film promises a visual spectacle like no other, but at its core, it's a heart-wrenching drama that will showcase the triumph of Satakarni. I thank writer Burra Sai Madhav for penning fantastic dialogues. They live up to my trademark style. I am confident the film will leave a legacy behind,” describes Balayya about his January 12 release.
