Mega Star's Khaidi No 150 Movie Review & Rating

As Megastar Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150 hits the theatres today, fans are buzzing with excitement to catch the Megastar's action on screen on the first day itself.

The teasers, songs and all the hype surrounding the movie has already made Khaidi No 150 one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Despite the movie being a remake of Tamil movie Kaththi, Khaidi No 150 is expected to witness record breaking collections.

While the story is the same as Kaththi, the makers have put in inputs to cater to the regional Telugu audience, enhancing it further to connect with the Chiranjeevi fandom.

Story:

The story is of a Khaidi (crook), Kathiseenu who escapes from prison but unknowingly lands up in a village where he is mistaken to be his doppleganger, Shankar. The police chasing him, catch Shankar instead of Kathiseenu and take him into custody.

Kathiseenu assumes the role of Shankar, a social activist who has been fighting for the farmers whose lands are being usurped by a multinational company. After knowing the struggle of Shankar, he grows a conscience and stands up for the farmers.

Whether Kathiseenu manages to save the farmers' lands successfully is something to be watched in the theatres.

Performances:

Chiranjeevi is back in a brand new avatar. Making a comeback after nearly a decade, the actor looks incredible and puts forth a younger persona onscreen. Be it the body language or his mannerisms, Chiranjeevi has managed to deliver a performance living up to the expectations of the fans.

Actress Kajal Aggarwal who starred opposite Chiranjeevi for the first time in this movie has delivered her best and fit the requirements of the character. Nevertheless, Kajal's character didn't give scope for the actress to go beyond the songs and few pivotal scenes. The supporting cast render justice to their roles.

Coming to the music of the movie, the songs have already become huge chartbusters before the release. However, the visuals are a treat to watch particularly with the magic of Chiranjeevi tapping to the tunes of Devi Sri Prasad. Ammudu Let's do Kummudu and Rathalu are the highlight tracks of the movie.

Technical Aspects:

Looking at the technical aspects of the movie, the storyline and screenplay are engaging. The director, VV Vinayak has focused on the right elements as the movie is an overall package with brilliant cinematography, wonderful performances and exceptional background score further maintaining the commercial aspects along with sticking to the social message of the movie.

Dialogues are meaningful and leave an impact on the audience while the production values are top notch. Being a Chiranjeevi movie, the focus naturally is more on the actor, however, with such a huge star as the lead actor, the presence of a tough villain gives the edge. This movie, falters in the requirement of a strong villain as the background of the antagonist doesn't really make a huge impact on the story.

Engaging script, paisa vasool for Chiranjeevi fans!
