Chiru was chilled out on the sets: Kajal

Kajal Aggawal could not have dreamt of a more celebrated year to round off her decade journey in cinema. As Chiranjeevi’s beloved in ‘Khaidi No 150’, it’s nothing short of an epic conclusion.

Says Kajal, “Working with Chiranjeevi sir has been a fantastic experience. He has an amazing screen presence. He has the uncanny knack to constantly stand in front of the camera until director calls it pack-up; that’s something our generation lacks.

But I have realised the professionalism and the attitude with which people used to work in those days. Everyone on the sets had compatibility and it’s a memorable experience working for the film.”

The actress describes Chiru as a cool co-star. “Chiru is one of the coolest actors and never showed the disparity that he doesn’t belong to our generation. We indulged in conversations about food, workout, travel, books, etc.

I asked him questions about happenings in the world just to know his viewpoint because it’s a rare opportunity to work with him. I’m glad that I made most of it. He was far more chilled out than my contemporaries, and off-course, he is good looking,” she says hiding her blushes.

It is really interesting to know that someone who completed a decade journey in was never interested in films. “I wasn’t not keen to face the camera after my debut film ‘Lakshmi Kalyanam’. I only believed that the experience will add to my repertoire, so that I can peruse Business Management.

Soon after I started taking up films, life changed forever. So if I look back, I feel blessed to be able to continue in films. And more importantly, I am enjoying my work,” she expresses.

And that leads to the most curious question as to when the actress is getting hitched? “I would definitely get married, but not now,” shares Kajal, who is currently shooting for director’s Teja’s film opposite Rana Daggubati.
