Tamannaah is Telugu Queen

Ramesh Aravind, who will helm the Kannada version, will also direct the Telugu remake

The predictions regarding the leading lady of Telugu version of ‘Queen’ remake have finally come true. Tamannaah, who earlier agreed in-principle to star in the Tamil version of the comic-drama, will also star in the Telugu version. The actress has apparently heard the narration and agreed to come on board in Telugu too. She is yet to sign in on the dotted lines, but the remaining formalities are being worked out.

The ‘Oopiri’ actress is currently sorting out her date diary, and is likely to commence shooting for the both the versions of ‘Queen’ remake in summer. Apart from helming the Kannada remake, Ramesh Aravind, will also direct the Telugu version. His recent Kannada directorial ‘Sundaranga Jaana’ (remake of Telugu film (‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’) and ‘Uttama Villain’ were critically acclaimed.

A source close to the actress informs, “The Telugu narrative of the story has been customized to suit the nativity, and is a touch different from the Tamil one. Tamannaah recently heard the Telugu narrative and was pleased with the way it was fleshed out. She agreed to come on board.”
While Kannada version will have Parul Yadav as the leading lady, Amala Paul will star in the Malayalam version to be directed by yesteryear actress Revathi (along with Tamil version).
