With police evicting scores of pro-Jallikattu demonstrators from protest venues across Tamil Nadu, especially from Marina beach, amid incidents of stone-pelting, torching a car and mild lathicharge at a few places in Chennai on Monday, the makers of Suriya-starrer ‘Singam 3’ have decided to postpone the film’s release from January 26.

The actioner was set to open on a mammoth note across the South India this Republic Day, but with high tension prevailing across Chennai and other parts of TN, Suriya and Co decided to reschedule the release date. “Only when the situation returns to normalcy that we plan to release the film,” read a statement from the production house.

With ‘Singam 3’ missing the date, the makers of Manchu Vishnu-starrer ‘Luckkunnodu’ have decided to occupy the January 26 slot in TS and AP. The comic caper was to release in the first week of February.
