Chay, Sam engaged in fairytale ceremony

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who have been in a relationship for over two years, got engaged in Hyderabad on Sunday evening in a simple yet stylish ceremony. A private affair, only the families of the couple and very close friends were present at the venue.

Post the engagement, Nagarjuna tweeted, "Can't express my happiness in words. #Chaisam It's official now. My mother is my daughter now. Couldn't be happier (sic).”

The superstar also shared a family picture featuring the entire Akkineni clan, including his second soon-to-be daughter-in-law Shriya Bhupal, who will marry his younger son Akhil.

For the ceremony, which was performed according to both Hindu and Christian traditions, Samantha, 29, wore a sari designed by Koecsh by Kresha Bajaj, while Naga Chaitanya, 30, sported a two-piece blue formal suit. The wedding is set to take place sometime later this year.
