Jawaan is a family drama: BVS Ravi

Supposed to have gone on to floors last year itself, Sai Dharam Tej’s film with writer-turned-director BVS Ravi, ‘Jawaan’, finally had its muhurat in Hyderabad on Monday. Actor NTR attended the event as a guest and sounded the clapboard for the first shot.

Speaking to media persons later, Ravi noted, “How a son rises to the occasion and saves his family which is going through a grave crisis is what ‘Jawaan’ all about. It has no link to military at all and is a complete family drama.”

A joint venture between Krishna, NTR’s former manager and director Harish Shankar, ‘Jaawan’ will roll next month. Mehreen is cast opposite Sai Dharam in the flick.

Noted names like KS Ramarao, Gemini Kiran, VV Vinayak, Koratala Siva, Dil Raju, DVV Danayya and Gopichand Malineni among others too graced the launch ceremony of the film, which has music by SS Thaman.
