Filmmaker Antoine Fuqua has parted ways with Universal's reimagining of the classic gangster tale "Scarface". The decision has been taken due to a scheduling conflict with Sony's sequel to "The Equalizer".
Universal is now in search of a new helmer for what would be the third big-screen incarnation of "Scarface". According to ‘Variety’, Diego Luna is attached to star in the film. Terence Winter wrote the most recent draft of the script. The new film will be set in Los Angeles and will focus on a Mexican immigrant.
