Gopi is the new Robin Hood

While his two films – ‘Oxygen’ and ‘Gautham Nanda’ – are almost ready, actor Gopichand, Talkies has exclusively learnt, has green-lit a new film. It is the same one that Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja turned down after showing interest to begin with. Yes, we are talking about ‘Robin Hood’.

A source close to the development confirms, “Debutant director Chakri was in for a shock when Ravi walked out of the project as the script was specially prepared for him.

Nonetheless, Chakri took everything in his stride and later knocked the doors of Gopi with the script. Impressed by the content, which offered him something new to explore, the actor gave his nod to Chakri.

It remains to be seen whether Danayya will associate with the project as a producer or Gopi gets someone else on board. The film will flag off once the macho actor is through with the promotions of his next set of releases.”

Meanwhile, the first look of ‘Gautham Nanda’ (right) was released on Saturday. In the picture, a stylish Gopi is seen standing against a chopper.

Presently in the last leg of its production, the makers – director Sampath Nandi and producers J Bhagawan and J Pulla Rao – are planning to complete the film by March-end.
