Aamir said I can turn down his film too: Vivan

While Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Dangal’ is scripting new records with each day, Vivan Bhatena, who enacted the fighter’s role in the film, is also on cloud nine. Giving a back story on how bagged the role, Vivan says, “I got a call from Nikhil Advani and he asked me to come immediately. When I went to his office, I also saw Aamir Khan sitting next to him.

Aamir told me that he loved my work in ‘Katti Batti’ and he offered me a small fighter role in ‘Dangal’. He even told that I can say ‘no’ to it because he is not egoistic. He even told me that that’s the only fight scene with him in the opening scene, and the rest of the film will be about the girl.”

Apparently, Vivan was told to allot one full year’s time for the shooting. “Aamir sir told me that I need to give one year for the film because he had to lose weight for the role. I had to put on 10 kilos to look the part (wrestler). I had to train under a National wresting coach, etc. It was a great learning experience and I am glad that my role is being recognized and I am getting offers.”

Aamir is very humble and is always. He very easy to work with and everyone love him on the sets. He knows what exactly he wants and I was asking him about a few things. He even gave me small pointers about how to go about my acting. Since we trained together for the film, we were on the same page.”
