Taapsee Pannu is playing the character of Bangladeshi refugee in India's first underwater war ‘Ghazi’, which also happens to be her comeback film in Tollywood after some time. In order to sink her teeth into the part, she had to learn Bengali language.

“Besides hiring a Bengali tutor, Taapsee also watched a few Bengali films to learn the pronunciation of the language. She was even spotted speaking in Bengali with her Bengali friends in order to get a hang of the accent,” a source close to the actress says, adding, “In fact, one of her staff member was a Bengali and whenever she was at home, she used to converse with him in Bengali and pick some words.”

‘Ghazi’ is based on true events from the 1971 war, when Pakistani submarine Ghazi attempted to destroy the Indian aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant. Scheduled to release this February 17, the movie also features Rana Daggubati, Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni and Om Puri.
