SRK in Baahubali 2?

For the past few days, there have rumours about Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan playing a peacemaker of sorts between the parts played by Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, generating a lot of excitement among cine-goers across the country.

The grapevine further indicated that Khan, a good friend of Karan Johar and Anil Thadani, who are distributing the film in North, has been roped in to enhance the showpiece’s pan-India appeal.

With Khan, who has played some memorable cameos in films like ‘Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega’, ‘Saathiya’, ‘Heyy Baby’, having openly endorsed ‘Baahubali’ part 1 when it opened in July 2015, the rumours only flew thick and fast, before gaining more credence.

However, when The Hans India contacted producer Shobu Yarlagadda to verify whether there is any truth in such reports, he clarified, “It’s absolutely false. Shah Rukh Khan is not playing any part in the film.”

Shobu further added that the post-production of the film, also featuring Satyaraj, Ramya Krishna, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, is in full swing and that they will hit the screens on time– April 28.

Rubbishing the reports of Shah Rukh Khan having a cameo appearance in the firm, Rana has said the superstar is not part of the movie. "He is not part of the film. There is no cameo appearance. The world of 'Baahubali' is different and it doesn't have it (cameo appearances)," Rana said.
