Venky-Krish film called off

Speaking to Talkies recently (December 30), producer Suresh Babu confirmed that his superstar brother Venkatesh has green-signaled the ideas of Puri Jagannadh and Krish for his 2017 line-up. “Both are different and special,” Babu had said about the film’s genres.

But in sudden turn of events, we hear Venky’s project with Krish has been called off. While exact reasons for the same are guarded, buzz is that the film’s idea has some copyright issues, with a fellow director claiming that it is his (idea).

“Venky is a controversies-free hero and he would like to remain that way. In fact, he stopped ‘Radha’ after an aspiring writer claimed that director Maruthi stolen the script from him,” said sources. With Krish out of the way, it’s only Puri for Venky now.
