WB wants Mel Gibson to direct Suicide Squad sequel

Mel Gibson is being courted by production house Warner Bros to direct the sequel to the film "Suicide Squad". According to sources, Gibson is familiarising himself with the material. But the studio is also looking at other directors, Daniel Espinosa among them. "Suicide Squad" was helmed by David Ayer, which released last year, featured actors like Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto.
