Swathi is back with a film for debut director

Seems like Swathi Reddy (aka Colors Swathi) has ended her a year hiatus finally. The petite actress, who was last seen in the horror thriller ‘Tripura’ in Telugu, has signed her next. We hear she will be seen opposite Siddhu Jonnalagedda in a romantic drama to be taken on floors soon. Debutant director Aditya, who earlier worked under Ravikanth Perepu (‘Kshanam’ fame) will wield the megaphone.

The ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ actress has been listening to scripts, but nothing caught her attention. But she ‘fell in love’ with Aditya’s draft and has agreed in-principle to be the film’s female lead. Swathi, who usually looks for something substantial, agreed to come on board, after much persuasion.

“The subject of the film is hatke, which is what made Swathi to take it up. The actress mostly played the girl-next-door roles, but this film gives her a chance to do something different,” informs a source.

Swathi is yet to sign in on the dotted lines while the remaining formalities are being worked out. The film will be bankrolled by Rajasekhar Reddy and will go on floors in summer
