Mumbai : Karan Johar on Monday issued a statement thanking Surya Hospital and its doctors for taking care of his twins Roohi and Yash who have been in the care of Dr. Bhupendra Avasthi at the Santacruz Hospital after a premature birth.
“Premature babies, when provided with the right kind of care, have just as good of a shot of making it, as babies born on time. If your baby is a preemie, don’t be discouraged. Seek Help. Wonderful organisations like Surya Hospital can nurture your child towards normal growth,” says Johar.
Acknowledging the need to raise awareness towards the cause of ‘prematurity’ Johar says, “Organisations like Surya Hospital are stepping up during this time of need and reaching out to help. Via their campaign #SavePreemies, Surya Hospital aims to gather some goodwill and save as many preemies as possible.”
Surya Hospital has launched its #SavePreemies campaign on its social media pages. Through this, they are raising awareness about the cause of ‘prematurity’ and highlighting the governmental and societal effort required to offer care and support to the massive numbers of preterm births in India.
Johar further adds, “If your baby is born premature, don’t lose faith, don’t lose heart. Brilliant doctors like Dr Bhupendra Avasthi and Dr Sonal Saste have dedicated their lives to this wonderful endeavor.”
My mother and I remain eternally grateful from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and care that were given to Roohi and Yash Johar... pic.twitter.com/G18HsgTkXl
