Young makers are game-changers: Raj Kandukuri

Following the super success of ‘Pelli Choopulu’, producer Raj Kandukuri is currently busy with ‘Mental Madhilo’. The movie is being helmed by debutant Vivek Athreya and stars Sri Vishnu and Nivetha Pethuraj in the lead roles. Speaking to The Hans India, Raj Kandukuri said the movie was a light-hearted entertainer.

“I am not bragging when I say that I am as confident about ‘Mental Madhilo’ as I was about ‘Pelli Choopulu’. Explaining his penchant for continuing with small cinema despite having given a blockbuster like ‘Pelli Choopulu’, Kandukuri says, “I prefer small cinema because it gives me the opportunity to introduce new talent to the industry. Encouraging new comers gives me immense satisfaction especially with a positive verdict.

In ‘Mental Madhilo’, the director Vivek Athreya had done some short films earlier and I truly believe in his capability. The heroine is also a debutant. The movie is being made entirely with newcomers and I will reveal more details on the project on the eve of release.” Would Suresh Babu be releasing this movie as well? “He is definitely interested and waiting for the movie to be completed. If things go according to plan, the movie might be ready for a release in July,” said the producer.
