Vamsi has lost Midas touch?

Veteran director Vamsi seems to have lost his Midas touch as his latest release `Fashion Designer’ has not really set box-office on fire. The director who was ruling the roost in 80’s and 90’s with a slew of blockbusters like `Sitara’, `Anveshana’, `April Okati Viduthala’ and `Avunu Vaalidaaru Istapadararu’ but lost his way after duds like `Anumanaspadam’ .

“He is a master craftsman and has earned his place as one of the sensible directors in Telugu cinema,” says distributor Nagi Reddy, who describes him as a multi-faceted man. “But young audience are unable to connect to his kind of stories and comedy and the talented director losing his winning habit,’ he adds.
