Parineeti demands 4 cr for Saaho?

It might sound unbelievable but it is true. B-town actress Parineeti Chopra reportedly demanded a whopping Rs 4 crore to play love interest to reigning star Prabhas in his upcoming Telugu-Tamil-Hindi film, leaving producers dumbfounded.

It is well known that production house UV Creations have been trying to rope in a leading B-town actress for their big-ticket entertainer and finally zeroed in on Parineeti Chopra after Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were reluctant to sign on the dotted line.

“Parineeti envinced interest to make her T-town debut and share screen space with Prabhas, who is a now a star with a pan-India appeal, but quoted an unprecedented sum of Rs 4 crore,” says a source. The producers were baffled since the actress has not been among hits in the recent past as her last few releases like `Dawaat Ee Ishq”, `Kill Dill’ and `Meri Pyari Bindu’ didn’t exactly set box-office on fire and also she is not among the A-listers in B-town, so doesn’t add value to the project.

Nevertheless, the pretty actress struck to her guns, and now producers are having second thoughts to sign up or not. “Even top actresses in Telugu pocket Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1 crore, if they are sharing screen space with a big star, but Parineeti is asking three to four times more,” he adds.
