Sukumar treading his own path

Director Sukumar who is known for dishing out interesting entertainers like `Arya’ and `100% Love’ but drew flak for his big-ticket flop `Nenokadine’ but tasted success as a producer as his maiden production `Kumari 21 F’ set cash registers ringing as the out-of-the-box theme struck a chord with the masses.

Now he is producing another interesting film `Darshakudu’ starring new faces Ashok and Eesha and probably revolving around the travails of an aspiring director in T-town, going by the title and first look. “Sukumar is a good pen and is adept in digging out novel plots to connect to new generation viewers. `Darshakudu’ has raised good expectations since the teaser has triggered good hype,’ says distributor Nagi Reddy, who says Sukumar is carving a niche for himself with different themes.
