Shakti Mohan, the winner of Zee TV\'s dance reality show Dance India Dance Season 2, was in the city to promote her upcoming reality show ‘Dance Plus Season 3’ recently.
Shakti Mohan, the winner of Zee TV's dance reality show Dance India Dance Season 2, was in the city to promote her upcoming reality show ‘Dance Plus Season 3’ recently. Earlier, she was one of the judges for Dance Plus season 1 and 2, and she will be donning the same role in season 3, which will air from July 2. Shakti informs that she is very excited to be a part of the dance reality show.
Speaking about her visit to Hyderabad, Shakti shares, “I met a group here, who are from ‘Nataka Niketan’ and I felt very nice. I will never leave them. I also met a 97-year-old man, who is running this institute and I was truly inspired by his passion towards dance. I had such a great time in the city.”
“We also met a group of Bharatanatyam dancer and it was really great. This group comprises seven girls, they have joined my team. I came here meet their Guru. I have trained Bharatanatyam for eight years and I have also requested Remo sir that I want to dance with this people on the platform. Dance Plus season 3 is already started and we have also completed two episodes,” she adds.
Sharing her experience of working with judges and contestants, she says, “With judges mostly, it has been a lot of fun. And about contestants, they come in my team from different background and lifestyles. It is very exciting to work with diverse people. I get to learn many things from the contestants.”
Shakti runs a dance academy ‘Nritya Shakti’. “In our academy, we teach all type of dance forms. From classical, hip-hop to contemporary and many of our students now have become celebrity dancers.” Any projects in movies? “Movies are just another medium. I love to dance and if there’s an opportunity, I will defiantly like to take it up; but that’s not my focus. I just want to dance. Apart from dancing I am not looking for any opportunity to act in a movie, I am a dancer and I just want to dance.”
