Superstar Mahesh Babu seems to be determined to break records, particularly in Hindi dubbing rights for his big-ticket films. Yet again, his upcoming film ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ with director Koratala Siva, clocks a record since it was reportedly bought for Rs 16 crore.

Among his peers, Mahesh Babu is ahead in his pan-Indian appeal and his films have been bought for prices anywhere between Rs 10 to 15 crore per film, but his latest one touches a new high (barring Rs 24 crore for his multilingual film ‘Spyder’).

“Actually, ‘Spyder’ is being made in Telugu and Tamil languages and also promoted as a multi-lingual film, so it got such a fancy price, otherwise Rs 16 crore is the highest for a Telugu star and definitely, he is ahead of his arch rivals like Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR in pan-India appeal,” says a source.

In fact, it was Mahesh Babu who brought more money for overseas rights for his producers from ‘Athadu’ to ‘Spyder’ and now getting them Hindi dubbing rights as an additional source of income. “After opening up overseas market, now he is expanding the Telugu film market across India, with his brand value and charisma,’ the source concludes.
