Ravi, Srinu Vytla film to take more time?

Nobody would have doubted that much-awaited combination of hotshot star Ravi Teja and seasoned director Srinu Vytla film will take more time to take shape. Despite being the best of friends and also delivered hits like ‘Venky’, Ravi Teja hasn’t approved the script of Srinu since they are reportedly in a dilemma to make a comic-caper or action adventure or blend both the genres.

“Srinu’s forte is comedy and proved his mettle in many a film including ‘Dookudu’ and ‘Badshah’ but after flops like ‘Mister’, even the director is not sure what he should make next,’ says an industry source. Even Ravi Teja who is doing a novel stuff like ‘Raja The Great’ wherein he plays a blind kabbadi player. ‘Ravi Teja is looking for novelty these days and doesn’t want to do another run-of-mill stuff, since competion is growing in the industry.

Of course, the combination of Ravi Teja-Srinu Vytla will trigger lot of hype around the film and business will be much easier. “Precisely, that is the reason why both of them want to take some time, before fixing their project, perhaps, to live up to the big expectations and also to deliver a money-spinner without taking any chances.

They are wise enough to understand that their heady combination has to be justified with a big-ticket extravaganza with novelty,’ he adds. With most-happening-star like Nani ruling the roost with his flair for comedy and with most of other stars like Sharwanand also dabbling with comedy, Ravi needs to stay ahead with a perfect entertainer that impresses his fans as well as new generation viewers besides exploiting his larger-than-life image. In these circumstances, there is nothing wrong for actor-director to wait for the right script.
