There were a number of incredible stunts, daring escapades, and brutal-looking combat scenes in the latest episode of Game of Thrones, as seven heroes, one queen, and three dragons tried to fight off the Night King and the army of the undead.

But you might have missed the one stunt that took a surprisingly terrible toll on series star Rory McCann a.k.a. The Hound, who also has a thing or two to say about that famous ‘Cleganebowl’ fan theory.

McCann said (about his injury), “OK, it was from the show. I can‘t tell you exactly how but I had this guy on my shoulder for days and days – it didn’t work with a dummy so I had to carry a real guy and we had to run and run … No wonder I’m f---ed.”

Die-hard fans who still believe that someday, Sandor Clegane (The Hound) will square off against his brother Gregor Clegane (the Mountain) in an epic clash are hopeful that this will culminate in the long-wished for Cleganebowl. The Mountain, surely, will be by Queen Cersei’s side if she’s going to meet up with a Dragon Queen bearing a zombie.

Alas, for all of you dying for the epic clash, McCann isn’t so optimistic. He dismissively refers to the fan theory as “that Cleganebowl shite.” Catch the season finale on Star World and Star World HD on August 29 at 11pm.
