Vishnu to spring back to work

Gen X actor Vishnu Babu is eager to spring back to work this weekend and complete shooting for his next film ‘Voter’. Directed by Karthik Reddy, it is the tale of a common man who takes on the might of powers-that-be. It may be recalled that scion of Manchu family injured himself while shooting an action sequence for his other film ‘Achari America Yatra’ in Malaysia and suffered injuries on shoulder and a few bruises during a bike racing sequence some time ago.

After undergoing necessary treatment and medication, the actor has recouped faster than expected and set to return before the arc lights. “He has almost recovered except for some pain in the shoulder but he is feeling better,’ says a source, close to the unit. “Vishnu is raring to go and intends to complete the shooting part of his film ‘Voter’ on September 7 and 8 as he can’t keep himself away from work,’ adds the source.

Interestingly, Vishnu is a trained stuntman and also holds a card for the same. “He is qualified to choreograph action sequences, but he uses his skills for his own films,’ the source concludes. Meanwhile, the actor is exploring comedy yet again in ‘Achari... after smashing hit ‘Dhenikaina Ready.’ No doubt, he is dabbling with varied roles these days to stay ahead of his arch rivals.
